NETCO (New England Tanker Chartering Inc.) is a competitive brokerage company specializing in the chemical, lube oil and vegoil parcel trade.
1984
Kevin T. O’Hara founded NETCO in Rowayton, Connecticut. Joining Kevin in NETCO’s Connecticut office on the chartering team is John O’Brien. Linda Siegel has been with NETCO since its inception. John Palmer, an experienced demurrage analyst and active marine arbitrator, provides further customer support.
2000
NETCO opened its Houston Office. NETCO Houston has ten members: Kevin D. O’Hara, Nicklas Smith, Erik Wheeler and Kim Elbaek are on the chartering side. Operationally, an additional six team members, Rhonda Nunez, Estela Rodriguez, Lynette Bryan, Bin Miao, Janet Travis and Linn Trosclair provide full service, operational assistance and contract maintenance as well. All are always available to offer support to NETCO clients.
2008
NETCO expanded into the Asian market by opening its doors in Singapore. The office there was started by Mike Gares on the brokerage side and Chai Lin Goh in operations.
Our major client list for contract and spot charters includes Shell, Mitsui, Chevron, BP, Ineos, Procter & Gamble, Mitsubishi, ExxonMobil, Marubeni, Tricon and Vinmar. There are a growing number of other chemical traders and producers. Our participation with a selective customer portfolio allows us daily exposure to the contract and spot markets covering the worldwide trade lanes and local regional business. We at NETCO are ideally situated to make qualified judgments and interpretations about these markets.
